Music. Friendship. Encouragement. Cake!
Mainly Music is the perfect place for parents and preschoolers to hang out. We start with a half hour music session with lots of instruments, action, dancing and singing. Then after a scrummy morning tea the kids can play and make friends while the parents can relax and chat. Its a great way to spend a morning both interacting with your child, and having some adult time as well! We provide everything you need - instruments, home made morning tea, toys.
When: Wednesdays, 9.30am
(no mainly music in school holidays or last Wednesday of each term. Christmas break up is usually early December.)
Cost: $4 per family per session.
You do not need to register initially, just come along and check us out!
WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES
There are two groups in this area. One group meet fortnightly on Mondays,
9.30 to 11.30am. A crèche is provided, where some fantastic ladies look after any children, giving time for Bible study and prayer. We start with morning tea and some “catch-up” chat time. Then, weekly at 10am on Thursdays, is when those ladies who have grown families come together for fellowship and Bible study.
If you are Year 9 or older join us for Bible Study on Thursdays at 7pm at the church. We have activities during the term on Saturday's too. We would love to see you.
Are you in Year 9 or older? Then join us at Whitiora Bible Church at 7pm on Thursday Nights during school terms for our Youth Group Bible Study. We have a speaker each night and then break into small groups to discuss the week's topic. Come along to learn more about following God's plan for your life and meet other Youth on the same journey.
Check out our Youth Facebook Group "Whitiora Youth Group" for up to date news on events, studies and the like. Follow Youth Director on email at firstname.lastname@example.org for information as well.
Once a fortnight the Youth plan a Saturday event to have fun. We do things like sports competitions, water skiing, swimming, beach day, great race, progressive dinner, snow trip, capture the flag, movie night and much more. These times are a way to relax and unwind with other Christian friends. Also, it's a great time to invite friends and introduce them to the rest of our youth.
In Psalm 95 we read “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our Salvation. Let us come before Him with music and song. For the Lord is The Great God – The Great King above all gods.” It is our joy to serve God in this ministry of leading His people in corporate worship.
“FREE FM89 point zero” in Hamilton is one of the network of Community “Access Radio” Stations across NZ, and Whitiora Bible Church has a one-hour programme on the station at noon each Saturday. The hour consists of hymns and music old and new, some Scripture readings, challenging and encouraging comments; and is hosted by Albert Randall.
